Podcasts, Videocasts and Star Wars, Oh My!

Long gone are the days of (not) listing our law practice in the yellow pages.  In days gone by, it was simply considered taboo first by the profession then eventually by the bar associations.  Not so long ago, attorneys were advertising with Facebook pages, and Instagram and Pinterest ads. But, the technology climate seems to be shifting, and with it, ways attorneys are reaching out to potential clients.

I had the opportunity to attend this year's PodFest and VidFest in Orlando, FL.  It was an excellent opportunity to learn about podcasting and videocasting.  It provided great lessons in the nuts and bolts of these areas of media:  Some of the mechanics, delivery, and structure of operations, legal concerns, and even generating content.  It was a great community of people genuinely interested in learning,  growing their podcasts and sharing their knowledge with others.

I attended to enhance my blog and podcast. It also gave me ideas to expand further - videocasting!   As I grow this blog, I am going to invite you to come along, and I'll share with you some of the technical skills I learn:  This will help you should you decided you want to podcast or videocast for your law firm, business or even just for yourself!

I hope you enjoy the experience!

(As an aside, I also went to Disney Hollywood Studios to check out the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge exhibit!   It was fun!!  And was the proverbial "cherry on top" to a great weekend! *PS:  If you want to get on the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance ride, you need to get on the virtual line on the morning you are going before the park opens!)
